According ICAO Annex 13 accident investigation procedures the state of the manufacturer can contribute to an accident investigation process. After this accident, the accredited representative appointed by the state of the manufacturer requested the assistance of the manufacturer. Our client, the manufacturer, requested USE2ACES to participate with a test pilot.

We assisted with our knowledge of the behaviour of the accident aircraft in off-design conditions. The representatives of the operator, the governments of Brazil and the Netherlands were briefed and the reconstructed accident sequence was flown using an engineering simulator at the manufacturer's facilities. Finally, we participated in the editing of the submission of the manufacturer's contribution to the accident investigation board.
